Okay, so do I really need another blog? Probably not, but I really do have thoughts beyond golf and travel, and just feel the need to express them. So, here we go, http://daveonwhatever.blogspot.com.
The 2010 political campaigns are well underway with a bit less than a month to go until election day. We have the witch--oh, forgot, she says she isn't a witch--in Delaware. As Dick Enberg likes to say, "Oh my". We have candidates spending hundreds of millions of dollars (in many cases of their own money--which is good) hoping to become Governors and Senators. Suppose all this spending is good for the economy, or least television and advertising companies. Personally, tired of it all now, and the real intense advertising is yet to come. Thank goodness for DVRs!
I have been in Chicago twice in the last two weeks for short meetings. Cool city, if you haven't been, go! Easy to get around, clean, seemingly pretty safe. Lot's to see and do.
Am in Anaheim, CA, tonight, have been here for three nights. Staying right next to Disneyland. Hotel is full of families visiting the original theme park. Guess parents don't mind taking kids out of school for a few days to visit Walt's play land. Good for them!
Heading home tomorrow, looking forward to playing you-know-what several times this weekend.
Just heard Sarah Palin's retirement speech (from last year). What a goof ball! She left the governor's office so she and Alaska could "progress". Not sure about Alaska, but she has progressed to earning $100,000 to give rambling, nonsensical speeches. God bless America.
